My Poems

Untitled.. (yet)
A rainbow crashed in the middle of the sea and as I watch, I crave to think, "Is my life reflecting Thee as the shiny, deep blue sea?"

For she is like a mirror for the puffy floating clouds
when they are bitter as well as when they are proud.
The sky shares his blues so that she won't bare nude
and he approaches the moon to watch her dance all night through.
In the morning he calls up the sun because that always makes her warm
and after dancing all night long, he lets the breeze sing her a song.
So she falls asleep just like a kid right after daddy's good night kiss.
"Oh, my lovely sea" he says while she sleeps, "if only we could meet."

So my Lord, to You I bow and pray that as today I would always reflect the true colors of Your ways. Whether they are white and gray or as heavy as murray, let my words paint Your will for the rest of our days. Let me wear the gown You've made for my own to display, not as a maid, but as one who has inherit the Kingdom's estate. And I will dance without chains until my feet can't bare the pain, then I will lay myself to rest and I will tuck myself in bed as I hear Your whispers say, "Sweet dreams, princess. Soon we'll meet again."

Oh, Cloudy Day:

Today I feel as lovely
As the cloudy sky above me.
I agree with you Mr. Sky,
But don't worry,
everything will soon be alright.
Out will come Mr. Sun
And all our sorrows will be gone.

Good Night Prayer:

Off to bed where I will rest
This sleepy head until I wake.
Dear Lord, I pray that you will bless
My day by day and guide my steps
So I can see you face to face
Someday... Amen.

Early Bird:

Every morning he watches me get up
And every afternoon we say goodbye,
But today is my turn to watch him get up.
I just love to wake up before the sun.

20 Years Young:

One more year today has passed
In this heavy journal of my life
Where one might find reasons for me to cry,
But in this page I chose to write
the reason why today I stand
With a humble pride.

I've counted my stumbles
And the times that I've slipped.
I know that I have fallen,
But I'm back on my feet
And I owe it all to God.
He's the one whose lifted me.

So light up twenty candlesticks
And I'll blow them as I make my wish.
I only have one and that is...
